H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad served as Prime Minister of Malaysia for 22 years, presiding over the country’s impressive modernization, and is one of Asia’s most respected statesmen. He is also a medical doctor. As mentioned in the banner of this website, Dr. Mahathir has been a strong supporter of the JCMT since its inception and continues to be a spiritual presence behind this organization.

On July 28, A JCMT mission and former JCMT Fellows from Malaysia paid a courtesy call on Dr. Mahathir in Putrajaya near Kuala Lumpur. The meeting, which lasted about 1 hour, was held in a relaxed atmosphere, with discussions centering on the activities of the JCMT project. At the conclusion of the visit, the former Prime Minister offered a warm message of support for the JCMT project and its corporate sponsors.
